What A Day.

Today, was probably one of the best days I've had in while i think. There was a few moments that almost ruined it completely... But I think I bounced back pretty well. lol

So this morning my little sis and I when to the gym, had an amazing work out. We make a great too, she gets me to Go and I get her to Stay and do More lol. Then I wanted to get the dogs out, so we went to the baseball field we usually go to, and we were there for very long before we got yield at and told we can have the dogs inside the park. ugh. very annoying. now i have to find a New agility practicing place.

So sense the dogs were all worked up and excited about being out we went to the dog park, and of course there was a dog there that just HAD to mess with Lilo. Just would Not leave her lone, tryed jumping on her, nipping her, and then try ed to steal her frisbee... that was a no, no. Lilo snapped at the dog, the dog snapped at her and then it was on. lol. no one was hurt. But it is very frustrating, Lilo is by no means aggressive, but she is reactive, and protective, and easily annoyed. And she sure as hell ain't one to be shy to let you know when enough is enough!
I hate it tho, its so embarrassing for me, and people always look at me like I'm a bad person, or like I'm to blame..... maybe i am? i don't know.... i don't think so..... shes always been like that, it was just easier to manage and control when she was smaller.... i mean Lilo always feels like she has a Job to do, wither that job is chasing a frisbee or a ball or trying to stalk/ herd something, and if you get in between Lilo and her Job, she'll tell you off.....

She is actually VERY good at ignoring other dogs messing with her. But it always gets to that point when the other dog just wont get the hint that she don't want to play or anything to do with them, and they keep pushing her buttons. I totally understand where shes coming from tho. I would probably snap at someone annoying me too... It's kinda like when you have a little brother/sister, and they have there finger in your face saying "I'm not touching you!, I'm not touching you!..." over and over again. How long could you hold back from blowing a fuse? lol

After we dropped the dogs off at home we went for a nice, relaxing Tan at the tanning booth. I don't normally tan but my sis does, and she got a free week card for a guest, and gave it to me. It was a really nice place and so calming. Just what I needed after the park and dog park thing.

Then we went to Winco for dinner! We..... I mean. I made French Dip for dinner! OMG I make it best, trust me. You haven't had French Dip until you've had mine. =) Yeah it's That Good! lol.

Yawn....... Tired......... Good Day..........Night!

She's Your Dog!

"She's so your dog, she doesn't even really like me."

HAHAHA, I bet your thinking, "Huh?".

Last night the hubby and I had probably one of he weirdest conversations ever. lol. Let me explain first...

So besides yesterdays excitement about the weave poles, Elle has been acting kind of depressed. Now I was still trying to figure out if its, one, because shes been in heat. Meaning she hasn't left the house, besides walks of course and playing in the drive way with us. Or, two, if she's jealous of the new kitty. Again, which means, she has to share her attention from her daddy with the cat.

Now this leads to our conversation.. My guess its not really her being in heat, but more the cat. So I have been extra lovie on my little Smelly Elle, to try and cheer her up. Nothings working. Last night it finally clicked in my head tho. It's not me she wants loving on her, but her daddy. lol.

Now it's no big secret in our house that Lilo is My dog. (we define this by thinking, If the dog was left with just one of us for a whole week alone, which one of us would they have more fun with?)(all that and the simple fact that No one in the whole world could handle Lilo lol) Lilo would no doubt want to be with me, hahahaha! But Elle has always been up for question. She would have fun with both of us, just cause that's the way she is, she loves to be doing things, but she also loves just laying on the couch with her daddy.

So Last night i came to the conclusion, that she's His dog. Sure she can have fun with the both of us, but who dose she strive to get affection from the most, who does she freak out for when they come home and who can make her butt wiggle(she don't have a tail to wag lol) with just saying "Hi"? When it was put that way, the answer was simple. Dustin, aka Daddy. 

The more I thought about it the more i realized, Elle doesn't even really like me(now that's not to say she don't Love me). She's a trooper and puts up with me, but I can tell, shes not a fan. lol. Lilo will lay with me for hours and let me love on her, cuddle, scratch and kiss on her. Elle is usually up and finding a new location within the first five minuets. lol Elle doesn't really get excited when i grab my keys to leave(shes more focus on herding Lilo, while shes the one freaking out lol), but Dustin just walks towards the keys and she already up and at the door spinning in circles.

Anyways I think you get the point. haha. I'm just bored, it's been raining all day. Flyball was canceled, and agility will probably be canceled tomorrow too. Blah.

How was your day?

Well, I sure hope it was half as good as mine. =) Today, started out very depressing and boring, the sun was out, not super windy at all, just a Slight chill in the air, but over all the weather today was... nice. I Really wanted to get out of this damn house and do some agility with the dogs. I couldn't find anyone to join me (I don't have a yard, so i have to go to a baseball Field down the road. It gets lonesome by myself). So I almost gave up on the idea all together and figured id just practice some in my drive way. The hubby cheered me up and said he'd go with me YAY! but when we get there the kids baseball team was already there.... POOOO! So back to plan "B"; Drive way...

It actually wasn't bad, Elle impressed me so much today!!! I am so proud of her! She was excited to do it, and was actually doing what i asked of her (that alone made my day!).

Then I got Lilo out there and, WOW, she's improving sooo much on her weaves. I'm loving my new steel base weaves more and more every time we practice with them. The 24'' spacing has dramatically helped her out. She's Faster, has Less Pop outs and her entrance is spot on almost every time now! And I've noticed she is no longer frustrated about weaving. With the old weaves she would bark the whole time, not really be excited about going threw them(but i could tell she wanted to so badly, just to please me), i had to directer her to the entrance a few times, EVERY time before she'd go threw them. Now she's really enjoying the weaves, going threw them without me even asking lol. while i was setting them up she was warming herself up (i so love my lilo face =).) Her start line wait is also improving. I have been doing small exercises in and out of the house every day with her and its really making a difference!

So I think it would be safe to say "Best Day Ever!"..... so far.... ;)

April 16th(i think that's right) Lilo and I are going to a Fun Match in Sacramento at WAG! I'm so excited! Even better we're going to meet Nicole and her handsome pup George there. =)) 

We're only planning on entering the Novice Jumpers, Lilo will do good with just that. She still has never been on Contacts, so I'm not going to push her in any way. I think she'll do good, it' going to be an awesome experience for the both of us. I just can't freaking wait!!!! YAY!

Again sorry no pictures today. I am just so bored out of my mind, writing will prob save me from going insaine. For a min anyways.

It has been raining All day! I mean RAINING! HARD! and A LOT of it! Luckily the dogs are taking it well, they have been sleeping all day. I wish I could do that.

On a brighter note, I don't know if i said this already, my Course Sourcebooks from Clean Run should be here tomorrow! waited all day for the mail, and they weren't here, so looked up the tracking number and they'll be here tomorrow, YAY!

AND-AND-AND..... In about three weeks my 20' Tunnel will be here too from NTIGlobal!!! All very exciting! I'm also going to be making some more jumps soon too! ahhh, I love birthdays! Especially when you get your gifts early =).

I'm hoping to start Elle on some agility training this summer. Its frustrating for me tho. She is so completely different then Lilo. I have to go in a totally different direction when training her, and she doesn't pick things up as fast and easily as Lilo. But I love a good challenge now and then, so we'll see how it goes. I am so grateful for Lilo, she has always been such an easy dog, for the most part anyways. I love her willingness for me, her loyalty mostly too. She is definitely my shining star =). Not to say Elle is any less then Lilo. lol.

Well i guess i don't have anything elts to say, I'll just get back to my boredom..... lol

(Updates) 

Haha. Yes the number eight (8) is apparently the number of choice today for Lilo. This weekend what her first time one a set of 12 weaves, at agility practice with our trainer. Those had the medal gates around them, so she did them like a champ. Well sence I've made my steel weaves, we've only had a chance to work on just 6. The sun really needs to start comeing out!

We'll today I pulled out the whole set of 12 in the drive way, yes i know Not suppost to on hard ground like that, but really im...we're going crazy, and we only ran a few times. lol. anyways, she was doing great, but then she thought it was fun to pop out at the eight pole everything. no mater which direction we were gong.

But she ended on a good note, so im happy. =)

We're also working on her Star line stay, cuz well, it REALY sucks! lol. She's just so impatien. lol. I guess i am too, but she did realy well our last few runs so im a happy girl today =)

Agility, Weaves, and Everythng in between

so yesterday i finally made my steel base weave poles (video on our YouTube) and i am sooooo pleased with how they turned out. We made two set of 6 poles. so i now have a set of 12 steel base weaves =)).

On a similar note, today we had agility practice. Once again Lilo never stops amazing me. She did an awesome job, if she did mess up ( like in the first hour of our three hour class) it was ALL my fault. But today was amazing for myself aswell, i got sooooo much help on my handling, and im realy starting to get the hang of it. And realy starting to understand everything.

The one thing ive been noticing , especially with the youtube world, that everyone is so ready to jump and help you and share there info on training the dog to do the equipment, but no one (minus a SMALL few) has ever jump to the oppertunity to help or give advice on handling. And to me training Lilo on the equipment is the easiest part. She's smart, she knows what i want, and she picks it all up very fast(even our agility trainer says all that EVERY time we have practice, shes so amazed at how fast she picks it all up). The hardest part to me is the handeling. I have researched, so many times, and have never found anything helpful, that i can understand at least, on learning how to handle correctly. It's hard, really it is. Esspecially when you are learning and training all on your own. Im so thankful for my trainer, she has been so helpful and i feel i am learning fast and just taking it all in. =)

Oh My...

Where to start....

Flyball is going good, sorta. We had an amazing avaluation, everyone what so impressed with Lilo. We were posto be on a waiting list for two months tell they cleared some of the other newbs, but she said she didn't want us to wait that long. lol. She was scared we would change our minds about joining. lol, Yeah, Lilo's that good! lol who would have thought. BUUUTTTTT..... aside from our great evaluation, and our awesome very first practice as apart of the team, thats about as far as we have gotten with it. All due to our trainer fracturing her foot, and the weather playing games with us. The saturday will be week Three that has been canceled. It is VERY discuraging, like REALY...

But on a better note, we have been going to actual agility practices with our trainer. She is also very impressed with Lilo, and how much we have done all on our own. Makes me feel so pround, not only for Lilo but for myself aswell. =) I feel accomplished! Now we are just waiting for her to get her Agility Fundimental Class scheduled. I realy can not wait to get Lilo on some contacts! It's all so excited, i love learning. =)

Elle has been.... well just Elle i guess. She's in her first heat (shoot me now please). So she in confinded to the house aside from her walks an playing with us in the drive way. She seems very sad about being left out of our trips to the dog park or park in genrial. But she has a new BFF now. =) Let me introduce!::::::::::::

Don't ask about the name lol, its an inside joke. But isn't he adorable?! We found him in our friends back yard, filthy dirty, cover in mud and poo. And it appeard he had a kitty cold. So we braught him home, and it's was as if he's been here all along. The TV scared him a bit, so it seems he's been and outside kitty. But I realy honestly think, that he believes hes a dog! Him and Elle have become quite the team, battleing all day, taking naps together, cleaning eachother etc. lol, It's very cute to watch. =)

well thats about it for now, im tired, my eyes hurt... So i'll leave you with some majoir cutness....
